Google adsense and Google site map.

Hello reader! If you are like many of us and own a website, you want it to be seen right? Right! We all know that the best traffic we can get comes from search engines, mainly Google. It is targeted and usually stay on our website long enough by surfing around and seeing many pages if not simply bookmarking our sites.

Google use to be an unconditional search engine. If a page exists, it deserve to be found. Right? Getting top results is something else, I am not worry to see a zero quality site take my place in the search results. But let’s start with that simple fact: ‘If your page exist, it should be indexed…’

Google use to scan the whole net and index absolutely anything. Prooves are that there is a lot of easy to find no non-sense web pages indexed in Google. But what about YOUR hard worked website? With real original content?

I learned recently about Google sitemap… You know, you submit your site map to Google and it just a few days, they index your website… completely! Well, truth is quite different. Google usually index your main page, your index.html quite fast. That does not take much resource on their servers. I suspect that they then send some human to eye check the website for quality, content, inner surfing and so on, and give it some credit or some quality quote. Then, usually about 1 month later, they may scan what we call the first level links. The pages that are reachable from your main page.

Here’s a typical example. pharmsup.com is a quality website about nearly all diseases that exist, merged with informations about treatments when available and finally links to online pharmacies with the related products. Just and ordinary well done site.

Google took about 3 months to index the more or less whole 7,500 pages. Looking at our sitemap account for pharmsup.com, we discovered that somedays we have 7,532 pages others we have 705 and others 19,500… Kind of weird… Getting less can be, but getting more is strange…

Anyways, after 6 months, we have been indexed about 100 different values varying from 605 to 19,500. Google is our main traffic supplier, so we enjoy very much when they send 1,000 visitors a day. Those days occurs when all our pages are indexed.

pharmsup.com is an online pharmacy portal, a very useful site for a lot of people. A site with real original quality content. It also has a local search engine to make things easy for the surfers. It is actually being completely indexed by MSN, Yahoo, AOL, Jazzz.com search engine and directory and over 190 others, members of isedn.org family.

Now the point is that pharmsup.com hosts Google adsense… Great, some days we make $25. and some day not a penny. Of course directly related to the number of pages indexed by Google. Why are they changing the index that often still is a mystery. We have tried to contact them many times, just to understand… Nada! And worst, one morning, there was no Google adsense at all on pharmsup.com. Why? They never told. Are we doing sometihing worng? Not that we know as we triple checked their TOS and made sure to follow the rules.

So what do we do? Re construct 7,500 web pages to remove Google adsense? Wait until we get an answer and loose income… Too bad they do not answer their affiliates promptly. They make us money, but we make them money too with adsense… To me, it is really unprofessional. But! What do you want, they have the power and we are poor beggers…

Anyways, as far as I am concerned, I was counting on Google to index my website and send traffic. Since I sell medications that would make me a great income even without Google adsense. But I need traffic…

I own many websites out there and I submitted 12 large sitemaps to Google, only one took 3 months to get done: pharmsup.com and we actually worked a lot more to satifiy Google by changing pages all the times then actually work on the content…

Conclusion: Do not buy traffic, do not push your website, do not promote, stay dead cause as soon as you get traffic from some banned site (you never which it is) or autosurf programs, or as soon as your traffic goes up fast or as soon as your click through rate goes higher, you get shut down… Would it be more professional to contact a webmaster to say: ‘We have counted too many hits from a banned site please remedy to the situation…’ sort of?
